Cerco sempre di dare precedenza ai prodotti Europei, perche’ sono prodotti e aziende che a loro volta aiutano noi a vivere meglio, ma a volte non e’ semplice trovare delle alternative complete, anche perche’ alcuni software molto popolari hanno lavorato 40 anni quasi senza concorrenza e con grossi investimenti continui.
Ci sono software che attualmente sono indubbiamente migliori e che non si puo' cambiare, altri solo per comodita'.

Diventare autonomi digitalmente a mio parere e’ un dovere come Europa, ma anche come Nazioni, ma e’ un processo lungo e non esente da problemi.

Una alternativa non deve per forza essere uguale alla soluzione precedente, sicuramente ha funzioni diverse o manca qualcosa, ma forse si puo’ implementare e se si supporta il progetto, migliorera’ sicuramente.

Una buona alternativa deve avere delle buone basi di partenza e utilizzare formati aperti e multi sistema, perche’ poi in caso di problemi, cambiare sistema diventa quasi impossibile senza fare un bagno di sangue tra tecnici, utenti e colleghi.
Devo pagare un software perche’ e’ buono, non perche’ ormai sono obbligato a rimanerci, ma questo e’ un mio parere personale, anche perche' potrebbero esserci altre motivazioni piu' radicate e personali per frenare un cambiamento.

- Saranno tutti contenti? No
- Avremo persone che si lamentano che prima era meglio? Si
- Avremo persone che per ignoranza o interessi personali cercheranno di ostacolare la transizione? Si
- E’ il nostro obiettivo che tutti siano d’accordo? No

Io ad esempio utilizzo Microsoft Teams da web, funziona molto bene, manca qualche funzione ma non necessaria.

Facebook Secure, Setting Privacy e AD preferences - Android

Questa guida e' per configurare di alcune opzioni per la nostra Privacy in Facebook.

Questa non e' una guida dettagliata e completa di tutte le impostazioni e configurazioni di Facebook, ma io voglio descrivere alcune delle piu' importanti configurazioni che possiamo eseguire in merito alla nostra sicurezza online.

Quando si parla di sicurezza online, dobbiamo tenere presente che per essere totalmente "sicuri" dovremo vivere in una montagna, in mezzo agli alberi, senza internet.
In questo caso saremo digitalmente sicuri, ma poi se arriva un orso e non abbiamo comunicazioni esterne, abbiamo un altro aspetto della sicurezza che prima non avevamo.
Mi piace pensare che dovremo essere un poco piu' informati e coscienti di cosa stiamo facendo o usando, a partire dal nostro telefono che usiamo tutto il giorno, strumento fantastico e pericoloso allo stesso tempo.

- Sicurezza nel login e autenticazione 2FA (2 fattori).

Questa opzione riguarda il Login, il 2FA ( Two Factor Autenticator) e' disponibile in moltissimi siti web, social e portali dove si usano sicurezze elevate per i propri utenti, ce ne sono di vari tipologie, ma per semplicita' noi useremo solo la verifica tramite SMS.

Con il 2FA, quando dovete fare il Login, vi spedira' anche un sms nel telefono con un codice per eseguire l'accesso al portale, questo previene che altri in possesso della vostra password, possano entrare al posto vostro.

- Facebook AD preferences

Questo non e' essenziale per la vostra sicurezza, anzi, se vogliamo essere precisi non riguarda la sicurezza online ma e' un sistema di Facebook per indicizzare meglio la pubblicita', in base a voi, cosa fate e le vostre preferenze.

Linux Mint: How to Change Your Password

As always a basic and simple guide to change user password in Linux Mint.

1- Open menu and search "settings".
Alternatively, if you already know how to do it, open the System Setting - Control Center.

2- Open Account details

3- Click in the Password selection, click exactly above the black dots to open the window for entering the new password.

4- Click on Save and we are done, now your User in the Linux Mint system has a new password.

Always remember the new password you wrote and do not write it in any memo, notes, digital or paper.

- Sometimes remember to change your password.

- Never use too simple combinations, eg: 123456789

- Use small and large fonts with numbers, if you want also use some special characters, eg: PizZaWithMozzarella2023??!

Point & click to forbid/allow any class of requests made by your browser. Use it to block scripts, iframes, ads, facebook, etc.

Some services are similar or almost similar, you don't have to install all the extensions, but evaluate which one is best for us or balance which other one works well with.
